Where is Wangat Lodge? We are 1 1/2 hours drive from Newcastle, on the edge of the Barrington Tops Wilderness, 25 mins drive from Dungog. The road is sealed up to our driveway and suitable for 2-wheel drive cars. What facilities do you have for weddings? We have a Hall for dining and dancing which can be used for ceremonies if weather is inclement. The kitchen adjoining the Lodge is fully-equipped for catering for up to 60 people. We have tables and chairs for up to 80 people. Our bush amphitheatre is ideal for forest ceremonies. We can set up a ceremonial bower of branches. Guests can be accommodated in ten hostel-style bedrooms and cottage. Honeymooning couples can stay in Melia Cottage. How big is the Lodge? For ceremonies and dining a maximum of 80 guests can be welcomed. The Lodge accommodates up to 46 people in hostel-style rooms. We also have two adjoining cottages. Melia sleeps 2-4 and Overflow up to 7 people. For greater numbers of guests, an excess fee may be charged.
